Reporting Through Sustainability Manager

Hello Community,

I have following questions related to Microsoft sustainability manager capabilities.

1. Does the product submit reports to regulators or ESG Ratings agencies? (Which ones?) Does the product track which report (which exact text and metric values) was submitted when, to whom?

2. Does the product receive, analyze or support response to feedback from report audiences?

3. Does the product compile complete reports? For which regulations, external or internal audiences? Complete report includes metrics & graphs, text content (statements, narrative, headings, intros, footnotes), graphic layout, and images.?

Thank you for the question. Below are my responses.

1. Does the product submit reports to regulators or ESG Rating agencies? There is a built-in connector to EcoVadis where you can ingest supplier ratings into the Microsoft Sustainability Manager. Submitting reports to regulators currently would require the use of the built in analytics and reports to identify the key reporting agency data to submit.

2. Does the product receive, analyze or support responses to feedback from report audiences? Not sure exactly what you're looking for here however as part of the Value chain solution within the Microsoft Sustainability Manager there is the ability to configure surveys to be sent out to your supply chain to capture sustainability data.

3. Does the product compile complete reports? The reporting system is intended to provide support for both managerial and disclosure preparation reporting. While the reports do not by default provide statements, narratives, intros, footnotes those can be added to the output file in Excel. Graphs/charts/metrics are provided as part of the built in analytics across Emissions, Water and Waste. The analytics are built with Power BI and can be customized to meet organizational requirements with the upcoming May 2024 release. Additionally, organizations with a Power BI license can build their own customized report/graphs/metrics.
